Prof. Robert V. Kozinets

Prof. Robert V. Kozinets is Hufschmid Chair of Strategic Public Relations and Business Communication at the Annenberg School for Communication and Journalism University and the Marshall School of Business, University of Southern California in Los Angeles Prof. Kozinets has been actively involved with Labcom. He is the Head of the Scientific Board of Labcom’s International Postgraduate Master in Corporate Communication & Branding. Moreover, Prof. Kozinets has been leading and collaborating with Labcom scholars on several academic and applied research projects on technocultural and technosocial consumption that involved netnography since 2017. Labcom has been partnering and supporting Netnocon, the global netnography conference founded by Prof. Kozinets that brings together netnographers and technocultural scholars from all over the globe, since its launch in 2023. Rossella Gambetti has intensely partnered with Prof. Kozinets over the last seven years. She has been a Research Fellow of his Jane and Hans Hufschmid Chair of Strategic Public Relations and Business Communication, jointly held by USC Annenberg School and Marshall School of Business since 2018. She has been co-chair of Netnocon, the global netnography conference since its launch in 2023 and she is the Secretary and member of the Board of the Directors of the Association for Netnographic Research (ANR), a registered non-profit corporation dedicated to advancing netnographic research globally which was founded by Prof. Kozinets in 2023 with the aim “to further knowledge about, connection through, and usage of netnographic research methods” (https://netnographicresearch.org/about-us/).

Prof. Steve Quigley

Prof. Steve Quigley is Professor Emeritus of Public Relations at the Boston University College of Communication Prof. Quigley has been collaborating with Labcom since 2009, when with Rossella Gambetti they launched and directed the UCSC Summer Study Program in "Public Relations, Event Management, and Interactive Marketing Communications" hosted at the College of Communication of Boston University. The program is offered to Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore students, with the support of the International Relations Office of UCSC. Subsequently co-coordinated by Silvia Biraghi, a visiting scholar at Boston University's College of Communication, the program marked its 14th edition in 2024. Prof. Quigley has salso co-edited with Rossella Gambetti a global academic volume on cross-cultural corporate communication published by Palgrave MacMillan and co-authored a few book chapters with Silvia Biraghi and Rossella Gambetti.

Prof. Sharifah Faridah Syed Alwi

Prof. Sharifah Faridah Syed Alwi

Prof. Faridah Alwi is Reader in Corporate Branding at the Cranfield School of Management, Cranfield (UK). Prof. Alwi has been a visiting professor at Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore since 2020, hosted by Labcom. At Università Cattolica, she teaches Brand management at the MS in Management of the Faculty of Economics. Prof. Alwi has been actively involved in the research activity carried out by Labcom in particular as regards the topic of brand activism and inclusive marketing with a focus on disability representation in advertising and social media. The outputs of this collaboration have been so far an academic article in the Journal of Business Research and two book chapters published with Rossella Gambetti and Zoe Lee. The current collaboration with Labcom also includes the development of a cultural take on the various interplays between intersectionality, inclusivity and female entrepreneurship that Rossella Gambetti, Silvia Biraghi and Sharifah Alwi are designing as a future study.

Prof. Don E. Schultz

Prof. Don E. Schultz, Professor Emeritus of Integrated Marketing Communication, Medill School of Journalism, Northwestern University, Evanston, Chicago Prof. Schultz pioneered scholarship on the Integrated Marketing Communications approach in both academic and applied research. He hosted Rossella Gambetti and Silvia Biraghi as visting scholars at the Medill School of Journalism at NU, Chicago, in 2013 to conduct field research on consumer brand engagement. Their collaboration resulted in an article published in the Journal of Strategic Marketing. Rossella Gambetti also co-edited with Prof. Schultz a special issue of the Journal of Marketing Communications on the developments of unconventional brand communications.

Prof. Bernard Cova

Prof. Bernard Cova is Professor Emeritus of Marketing at Kedge Business School, Marseille. Prof. Cova has collaborated with Labcom’s International Postgraduate Master in Corporate Communication & Branding since 2018, teaching a seminar on contemporary consumer collectives. Silvia Biraghi and Rossella Gambetti have been collaborating with Prof. Cova on an academic project on brand revitalization and brand hijack in digital platforms.

Prof. TC Melewar

Prof. TC Melewar

Prof.TC Melewar is Professor of Marketing and Strategy at the Middlesex University, London. Prof. Melewar has collaborated with Labcom scholars for more than a decade. Rossella Gambetti and Silvia Biraghi has co-authored with Prof. Melewar academic publication on the topic of corporate branding and Rossella Gambetti also co-edited a special issue of Business Ethics Quarterly with Prof. Melewar on managing corporate intangible assets, bringing a corporate marketing perspective in the field of business ethics. In July 2025, Labcom will host in Milan at Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore the COBIIR Colloquium (Collquium on Corporate Branding, Image, Identity and Reputation), founded by Prof. Melewar and celebrating this year its 6th edition on the topic “Brand purpose under pressure”.

MSL Italia (Publicis Groupe)

Labcom has partnered with MSL Group since 2011 for the launch of the International Postgraduate Master in Corporate Communication & Branding. Since then, MSL has co-designed and supported the program, establishing it as a top choice for careers in agency and corporate communication. The partnership has consistently placed graduates in roles such as account manager, strategist, social media manager, and brand manager in Milan and beyond.

ESOMAR

Since 2016, Labcom has partnered with ESOMAR to co-design an annual Meet up focusing on key trends in market research, particularly qualitative methods, techniques, and tools. Rossella Gambetti and Silvia Biraghi have collaborated with ESOMAR’s Italian representatives, including Marcello Sasso, Giulia Fabrizi, and Alberto Stracuzzi, with participation from ESOMAR presidents Kristin Luck and Ray Poynter.

Kantar Italia

Since 2022, Labcom has been collaborating with Kantar Italia, leading company in market research and strategic consulting applied to market intelligence and consumer insight. Labcom works with Kantar on the identification and analysis of consumption trends using the netnographic method. Thanks to its collaboration with Labcom, Kantar was also a partner of Netnocon, the global netnography conference, in 2023 and 2024. Kantar supported the conference by contributing to scholarships for talented young scholars. Furthermore, Labcom and Kantar have designed a high-level postgraduate training program in collaboration with Formazione permanente (School of Continuing studies) of Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore and in partnership with IBM and Adobe. The program focuses on artificial intelligence for consumer and market insights.

International Advertising Association

The International Advertising Association (IAA) is the world’s most influential network of marketing and marketing communications professionals, with over 4,000 individual and corporate members spanning marketing, advertising, media, IT communications and academic sectors across 56 countries. Labcom has partnered with the IAA for over two decades, thanks to Prof. Edoardo Brioschi’s active involvement as the President of the Italy Chapter and international academic representative. The IAA has accredited Labcom’s International Postgraduate Master in Corporate Communication & Branding since 2018 and, thanks to this accreditation, the International Postgraduate Master in Corporate Communication & Branding issues a double degree to their candidates including the international title of “Diploma in Marketing Communications” released by the IAA.
